Sunday Uti

Sunday Uti ( born October 23, 1962) is a retired Nigerian sprinter who specialized in the 400 -meter run.

1980 in Moscow, he first participated in the Olympic Games, however, different with the Nigerian 4 x 400 - meter relay in the preliminary round of. First international successes achieved Uti with his victory in the 400 -meter run at the Universiade 1983 in Edmonton and his second place over the same distance at the Track Championships Africa 1984 in Rabat.

At the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, he won the bronze medal as first runner in the 4 x 400 meters relay together with Moses Ugbisie, Rotimi Peters and Innocent Egbunike. In the 400 -meter run Uti finished sixth in Los Angeles.

In 1985 he was at the Universiade in Kobe third in the 400 -meter run. At the 1988 Olympics in Seoul, he missed the other hand, the finals over this distance. With the season he reached there in seventh place.

Sunday Uti is 1,75 m tall and had a competition weight of 68 kg.
