Sunderolt

Sunderold OSB († June 26 891 ) was Archbishop of Mainz, Arch-Chancellor and the Frankish Empire from 889 until his death.

Sunderold was abbot of the monastery of Fulda. After the death of Liutbert ( 889 ), recommended the Margrave of Sorbenmark Poppo of Thuringia him the king of the Ostfrankenreichs Arnulf of Carinthia and so he became Archbishop of Mainz and arch-chancellor of the Frankish empire.

He is transferred and buried in the Abbey of St. Alban in front of Mainz. His death is listed in the old diocesan calendars as his memorial day.
