Sunne Municipality

Sunne is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Värmland County, the historical province of Värmland. The main town of the municipality is Sunne.

Since 1984, the municipality awarded the annual Selma Lagerlöf - prize, which is worth 100,000 Swedish crowns, to authors who write in the tradition of Selma Lagerlof.

Mårbacka

On the Good Mårbacka, today Mårbacka minnesgård, lived the writer and Nobel Prize winner Selma Lagerlöf. The estate was left in the same condition as it was during the lifetime of a writer. Sundberg Gård ( Björne ) Tossebergsklätten ( Gurlita Klätt ) or Östra Ämterviks kyrka ( Svartsjö ) are other locations that are associated with Lagerlöf's novel " Gosta Berling " ( Gösta Berling's saga ).

Park Rottneros

The Ekeby of " Gosta Berling " is now one of the most beautiful flowers and sculpture parks. The sculptures are the works of Scandinavian artists of the 19th and 20th centuries.
