Sunshine Village

Sunshine Village is a ski resort inside the Banff National Park in the Canadian province of Alberta.

Internationally known the ski region of Banff National Park has been since at least the 1988 Olympic Winter Games that took place in and around Calgary. The Rocky Mountains offer in addition to excellent snow conditions a particularly impressive panorama.

The area has 3,000 acres of ski slopes (total length of slopes: 200 km ) spread over three ski areas:

  • Banff Mount Norquay,
  • Sunshine Village and
  • Lake Louise Ski Resort.

Sunshine Village offers the longest ski season in the Rockies (November to May). The Delirium Dive is with an average gradient of 39 degrees, in some sections almost 50 degrees, one of the steepest slopes of the Rocky Mountains at all.
