Super Besse

Super Besse is a French winter sports center in the mountain region of Monts Dore in the Puy -de- Dôme, built in 1961 at the foot of the Puy de la Perdrix.

The base station is located on the territory of the municipality Besse -et -Saint- Anastaise at an altitude of 1350 m at the Puy de Sancy. The ski area has 43 alpine slopes and about 125 kilometers of cross- country ski trails. In summer you can go off the beginning here numerous hiking routes and trails.

In 2011, Super Besse was for the fourth time after 1978, 1996 and 2008 destination of a stage of the Tour de France.
