Super Bowl V

Super Bowl V was the first issue of the final match between the National Football Conference ( NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC ) when the Super Bowl to count between the American Football League and the National Football League, it is the fifth. On January 17, 1971, the Baltimore Colts and the Dallas Cowboys faced each other in Miami, Florida at the Orange Bowl Stadium. Winners were the Baltimore Colts for a final score of 16:13. Dallas linebacker Chuck Howley was elected as the first non quarterback and player of the losing team most valuable player.

Game History

The previously weak favorite Cowboys were able to achieve two field goals in the first and second quarters, then moved the Colts to a touchdown after, but managed to not point after touchdown, so it was 6:6. However, the Cowboys scored a touchdown even what they brought back the lead with 13:6. The Colts played relatively poorly in the first half. In the second half the game was as good as decided, since the third quarter remained completely without points. However, the Colts managed a 4th quarter comeback by the same covered with a touchdown and the end still left with a field goal by Jim O'Brien in the lead.
