Super Video Graphics Array

Super Video Graphics Array, short SVGA (dating back to VGA ), referred to three different things:

  • 800 × 600 pixels,
  • 1024 × 768 pixels
  • 1280 × 1024 pixels.
  • For wide screens also has informally WSVGA (Wide SVGA) naturalized, which is usually 1024 × 600 pixels ( < 16:9) or 1072 × 600 pixels ( > 16:9), rarely 960 × 600 pixels ( 16:10) means; the exact width value for a height of 600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 16:9 would be 1066 2/3 and can not be implemented technically.
