Supermicro

The Super Micro Computer, Inc. or Supermicro short is a manufacturer of computer components, primarily for the server area. The company was founded in 1993 by Charles Liang in San Jose, USA.

Supermicro achieved in fiscal year 2008 with a turnover of 541 million U.S. $ a profit of 25.4 million U.S. $. At the end of the financial year, Supermicro employs more than 800 full-time employees, including 655 in San Jose. In research and development, about 300 people were employed at that time, manufacturing about 330 Supermicro achieved in all accounting periods since the founding of profit.

Products

Supermicro Unveils motherboards, barebones, conventional servers, blade servers, computer cases and cooling solutions were prepared which used to own complete systems, but also to OEM manufacturers and the computer distribution are sold. The solutions offered are based on both Intel and AMD processors. Particular emphasis is placed on energy efficiency of the power supplies that consistently work with efficiencies above 85 %, some with more than 93 %.
