Suphanburi F.C.

The Suphanburi FC is a Thai football club from Suphanburi province of Suphanburi. The club plays in the Thailand Division 1 League. Home games will be held in Suphanburi Municipality Stadium.

Club history

From the club was founded in 1998. Since participated in the Thailand Provincial League, founded in 1999 a football league parallel to the Thai League and headed by the Sports Authority of Thailand ( SAT). In the founding year of the League in 1999, the club was able to win right away the runner-up. Overall Suphanburi was one of the most successful teams in the Pro League. It was twice the league title, are 2002 and 2004, won. There were three vice- championships. After the Thai Association allowed two teams to Thai League, the club was allowed to ascend as runner-up in 2005, in the Thailand Premier League. Together with the Chonburi, which could also rise as a champion of the Pro League, both clubs were the first from the provinces of Thailand in the TPL.
