Supreme Commander Allied Powers for the (abbreviated SCAP; German " Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers ", often incorrectly as Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers described ) was during the occupation in Japan, the title of General Douglas MacArthur. Even if there were during the Second World War and after several Allied Supreme Commander, the name SCAP was used only in Japan.

There SCAP designated not only the item itself, but also the associated occupation authorities; for this the term GHQ (English for General Headquarters) was common.
