Supreme Court of Iceland

Hæstiréttur is the Supreme Court of Iceland, based in Reykjavík.

Seat of the Court is at the address Lindargata 2 in Reykjavík since 1996. The court was built in 1920 in the wake of independence from Denmark and took the place of the Højesteret in Copenhagen.

In addition to the Supreme Court, there are in Iceland, the Special Tribunal Landsdómur.
