Judgeships
The SCJN is composed of 11 federal judges, the so-called Cabinet Ministers, including from among them the President of the Supreme Court. The federal judges are chosen by the Senate of the Congress of the Union Mexico from the proposed list of Mexican President. The term of office as federal judge is set to maximum of 15 years, a second term is not possible. From the middle of the federal judge this elect the President of the Supreme Court whose term of office is limited to four years. A re-election to that office is possible, but not in immediate succession.
