Supreme National Council

The Supreme National Council (Polish: Rada Najwyższa Narodowa ) was a civilian central government of Poland, loyal to the Kościuszko insurgents behaved and was founded by Tadeusz Kościuszko on May 10, 1794 in Połaniec with 8 boards and 32 deputies. The King Stanisław August Poniatowski already insured on May 5, 1794 the Council of its intention that "the homeland and the nation will not be assigned " ( Ojczyzny i Narodu never odstąpię ), but Kościuszko had no intention of allowing the.

The official newspaper of the Council was the " Gazeta Rzadowa ".
