Sur (Arabic صور, DMG Sur ) is a town about 30 kilometers west of the easternmost point of the Sultanate of Oman at Ras al - Jinz. It is located on the Gulf of Oman 150 km southeast of the provincial capital Muscat. According to the 2003 census, the district had a population of 66 785 Sur.
