The Surenenpass ( 2'291 m above sea level. M. ) is a mountain pass in central Switzerland and is one of the alpine mule tracks.

It is located in the canton of Uri, 20 kilometers south of Lake Lucerne. It connects the Reuss Valley with that of the Engelberg Aa and Engelberg, Canton of Obwalden ). The transition is located between the Blackstock ( 2'931 m above sea level. M. ) in the north and the Engenmandli ( 2'448 m above sea level. M. ), an offshoot of the Castle, in the south. Further south and southwest lie the three-thousand to the Castle, the Spannort and the Titlis, in the northwest about 2800 meters high mountain ranges between Engelberg Rotstock, Brunnistock and Gitschen.

The pass is a base for high alpine hiking and climbing trails for some interesting. You can cross it on foot or by mountain bike on the alpine trail. About 40 meters below the summit stands on the west side of a small shelter.

Finds prove that the passport has already been committed in the Bronze Age and Roman times. On the Blackenalp ( 1'773 m above sea level. M. ) west of the summit is a late medieval wayside chapel. 1799 passed a French division under General Claude- Jacques Lecourbe the Surenenpass with artillery to attack the Austrian army in the Reuss valley.
