Suresh Goel
Suresh Chandra Goel ( born June 20, 1943 in Allahabad, † April 1978 ) was an Indian badminton player.
Career
Suresh Goel 1962 won his first title at the Indian retail Championships, ten more followed until 1976. At the Olympics in 1972, where badminton was played as a demonstration sport, he left both in single as well as double with Ippei Kojima out in the 1st round. 1966 and 1970 he competed at the Commonwealth Games. In 1967 he was awarded the Arjuna Award. Goel died in 1978 when training from a heart defect.
