Surfacing (album)
Surfacing is a music album by Canadian artist Sarah McLachlan from the year 1997. Was produced in Montreal.
As McLachlan's most successful album to date, it reached number one or two in the top 40 in many countries and cemented her status particularly in the U.S., where her 1993's album Fumbling Towards Ecstasy Although sold well, McLachlan had not yet established itself as a mainstream pop star.
Surfacing was nominated for a Grammy Award .. The website lists Acclaimedmusic.net Surfacing as the 2525th - best album of all time.
The song " Do What You Have to Do" in 1998 made headlines in the report by Kenneth Starr, where it was cited as the subject of a letter from Monica Lewinsky to Bill Clinton. The song " Angel", released as a single in 1999, reached after the attacks of September 11th new attention.
