Genesis

Surfer Girl is the first album, which was produced by Brian Wilson alone, assisted by Chuck Britz, his sound engineer. The Beach Boys were thus one of the first bands who produced their own albums. Wilson established himself as a musical leader of the Beach Boys. In addition to acting as a producer, he wrote and composed almost all the songs alone.
