Surgeon General of the United States Navy

The Surgeon General of the Navy is the highest-ranking physician in the U.S. Navy. He is also the commander of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery ( BUMED ), the official title is Chief of the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery ). The Surgeon General of the Navy can be compared with the Admiral of the Navy Medical Corps in the army.
