Surrealistic Pillow is an album by the American psychedelic rock band Jefferson Airplane, released in February 1967. The album includes the two best-known songs by Jefferson Airplane, Somebody to Love and White Rabbit. Surrealistic Pillow reached number 3 in the U.S. Billboard charts.

Music

Like the Byrds on their album Fifth Dimension merged Jefferson Airplane psychedelic rock and folk. This was unique at the time and brought several imitators out within the next few years. Surrealistic Pillow was perhaps the first blockbuster psychedelic album.

On the CD there are different versions of the album. The first publication with the RCA logo on the cover and the track listing of the LP edition was published in 1987. 1995 RCA also released a Gold CD of a remastered edition was released in 1996. Was published in 2003 under the auspices of BMG Heritage remastered edition with a 6 bonus tracks:
