Surtout

Surtout ( IPA: [ syʁ.tu ] ) is a term for an overcoat or topcoat from the 18th and early 19th century. Towards the end of the 18th century, he was, like other coats with several superimposed hanging shoulder collar provided. It was originally worn by officers of the cavalry on their uniforms ( sur tout = about everything else ).

Likewise, a multi-part centerpiece of silver or crystal was called, which was decorated with vases of flowers and fruit bowls or intended for the parking of pepper, salt, oil and other things.
