Susan Francia

Zsuzsanna " Susan " Francia ( born November 8, 1982 in Szeged ) is an American rower Hungarian origin, it is Olympic gold medalist and five -time World Champion.

Francia grew up in Abington (Pennsylvania), with the rowing began in 2001 at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a Bachelor in Criminology and Sociology in with a master. She trains in Princeton.

Francia 2005 fell for the first time internationally, as she won at the World Championships in Gifu with the American Roller fourth place. In 2006, she appeared in the World Cup along with Brett Sickler in the double sculls at, at the World Championships in Eton, she won the eighth gold medal, the double sculls ranked only twelfth place. 2007 Francia tried in the first World Cup regatta with Caroline Lind in two without coxswain, at the World Cup finals in Lucerne and at the World Championships in Munich, she won the eighth. 2008 Francia joined the first World Cup regatta with Anna Goodale in two without coxswain at, at the World Cup regatta in Lucerne and at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing she rowed back on the winning U.S. eighth.

At the World Championships in 2009, she started as in 2006 in two boat classes and won both world titles: in the aft and together with Erin Cafaro in two without. Francia 2010 occurred only at the World Cup in Lucerne in the aft, otherwise they rowed along with Erin Cafaro in uncontrolled two. At the 2010 World Championships on New Zealand's North Island, the two occupied the third place. 2011 rowed Zsuzsanna Francia along with Meghan Musnicki in two, at the World Championships in Bled, both were back in the World Cup rollercoaster.
