Susan Strasberg

Susan Strasberg ( May 22nd, 1938 in New York City; † January 21, 1999 ibid ) was an American actress.

Life and career

Susan Strasberg was born the daughter of Lee Strasberg, founder of the Actors Studio and his wife, Paula Strasberg. 1953, she played for the first time in a television production and 1955 on Broadway in the title role in a dramatization of the book The Diary of Anne Frank, for which she received a Tony Award nomination. She lived for many years in Italy, where it was called La Strasberg. She wrote two books: Bittersweet, an autobiography, and Marilyn and Me: sisters, rivals, friends about her friend Marilyn Monroe. Susan Strasberg died on 21 January 1999 from breast cancer.
