Susan Tedeschi

Susan Tedeschi ( born November 9, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts) is an American blues guitarist, singer and songwriter.

Life

Tedeschi comes from a musical family. At 15, she had her own band called " The Smoking Section". She was interested in early for the blues scene in Boston. Tedeschi is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music.

In 1994 she founded the " Susan Tedeschi Band". Their second album, Just Will not Burn was enthusiastically received in 1998. The band went on a U.S. national tour and has appeared on with John Mellencamp, BB King, Buddy Guy, the Allman Brothers Band, Taj Mahal and Bob Dylan.

2001 married Susan Tedeschi guitarist Derek Trucks. Twice motherhood and family caused her to retire from the stage, but made ​​them further studio recordings.

The voice of Susan Tedeschi is described as a blend of Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin, whom she calls both as their role models. Your guitar playing is influenced by Buddy Guy, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Freddie King.

Trucks and Tedeschi 2010 decided to establish a common bond. The recordings were intense songwriting sessions ahead on the common property of the two musicians in Jacksonville, Florida.
