Susana Chávez

Susana Chávez Castillo ( born November 5, 1974 in Ciudad Juárez, † probably 6 January 2011 ibid ) was a Mexican writer and human rights activist.

Life and work

At the age of eleven, she went to the public to present poetic works. She participated in several literary festivals, first in her hometown, and later in all of Mexico, in part. According to her blog, Chávez graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez with a degree in psychology. Most recently, she worked on a book of poems.

She was found to January 6, 2011 on the road in the neighborhood of Colonia Cuauhtémoc in Ciudad Juárez dead. The mutilated corpse could be identified only on January 11, 2011.
