Susannah Hornebolt

Susanna Horenbout (* 1503, † 1550; Susannah also Hornebolt ) was a Flemish painter and book the first painter in England.

Horenbout father was Gerard Horenbout, who emigrated from 1522 to 1525 from the Netherlands and worked in England in the future. On a visit to the Netherlands noted the German painter Albrecht Dürer, that he saw a Horenbout colored side, making him very impressed.

After Horenbout parents had emigrated to England, she married John Parker, who, however, died 1537-1538. After that, she was married to John Gymlyn.

None of their works is the present time still preserved. It was designated in addition to their function as a painter in some texts as maid of honor.
