Susceptance

The susceptance B (or also called susceptance ) is the imaginary part of the complex electrical admittance Y = G jB where G is the electrical conductance ( conductance, the conductance ).

The susceptance B can not be by taking the inverse value of the reactance X as the imaginary part of impedance Z calculated, except the real part R takes the value zero. For a given impedance Z = R jX he calculated from the effective resistance R and the reactance X as follows:
