Sutkagan Dor

Sutkagen - Dor is the modern name of an archaeological site on the Pakistani Makran coast, which is dated to the period around 2000 BC. Not far north of Dschiwani located is one of the westernmost towns of the Indus culture.

The place is located on Dasht Kaur, about 45 km from the sea. It can be assumed that once was the city by the sea, which is heavily silted here in the meantime. The place had a fortified citadel with towers. To the north and east of it was the actual living city.

Sutkagen - Dor was discovered by Sir Aurel Stein, who conducted test excavations here in 1927. Further investigation found about 30 years later held under GF Dales. Overall, the city can be described as unexcavated but still.
