Suwannakhuha District

Amphoe Suwannakhuha ( Thai: อำเภอ สุวรรณคูหา ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province Nongbua Lamphu. The Nongbua Lamphu province lies in the western part of the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are ( from south clockwise): Amphoe Na sound of the province Nongbua Lamphu, Amphoe Na Duang province of Loei, Amphoe Nam Som and Ban Phue and Kut Chap in the province of Udon Thani.

History

Suwannakhuha was born on July 17, 1973 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Na Si, Ban Khok Na Di and from Amphoe Na sound were separated. On March 25, 1979, he was promoted to Amphoe. In 1993 Suwannakhuha was one of the five counties of the province of Udon Thani, from which the new Nong Bua Lam Phu Province was created.

Management

Amphoe Suwannakhuha is divided into eight subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 92 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Suwannakhuha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สุวรรณคูหา ) consists of parts of tambon Suwannakhuha, Na Si and Kut Phung,
  • Ban Khok ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน โคก ) consists of parts of tambon Ban Khok,
  • Na Di ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นาดี ) consists of the whole tambon Na Di,
  • Na Dan ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา ด่าน ) consists of the whole tambon Na Dan,
  • Bun Than ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บุญ ทัน ) consists of the whole tambon Bun Than.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
