Suzanne Morrow

Suzanne " Suzi " Morrow, married. Francis ( born December 14, 1930 in Toronto, † 11 June 2006 ) was a Canadian figure skater who started in a single run and pair skating.

Your greatest success Morrow in pair skating with Wallace Diestel Meyer. The Canadian champion from 1947 and 1948, won in 1948 both the bronze medal at the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz as well as at the World Figure Skating Championships in Davos. The couple were first the death spiral with only one hand in the form known today.

In the individual race Morrow was from 1949 to 1951 Canadian champion in years. She took in the period 1948-1953, with the exception of 1949 in all world championships, but had no place on the podium. From 1950 to 1952 she took three consecutive fourth place, and thus missed a medal just barely. Morrow played two Olympic Games in the individual race. 1948 St. Moritz they came in 14th place and in Oslo in 1952 she was sixth.

After Morrow had withdrawn from the competition, she was still more than 50 years as a judge rating. At the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 she spoke as the first woman ever to the Olympic Oath for the judges.

Morrow, in 1952, a degree in veterinary medicine and worked as a vet until her retirement in 1995. During this time she also served as adjudicator worked at dog shows of the Canadian Kennel Club.
