Suzuki XL7

The Suzuki XL7 is a car model of the Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki, which was offered exclusively on the U.S. market from 2007. It was designed as a sport utility vehicle with five doors and replaced the Suzuki Grand Vitara XL-7.

The Suzuki XL7 was developed jointly with General Motors and was based on the same Theta platform crossover models like the Chevrolet Equinox and Pontiac Torrent. It was made in the Canadian joint venture plant in Ingersoll, Ontario.

The vehicle was powered by a gasoline engine with 3.6 liter displacement in V-configuration with an output of 188 kW (256 hp). Contrary to the model designation of the XL7 was compared to its predecessor standard no longer seven-seater. A third row of seats as well as all-wheel drive, however, were available as an option.
