Suzy Chaffee

Stevia Suzanne " Suzy " Chaffee ( born November 29, 1946 in Rutland, Vermont) is a former American alpine skier and actress.

Chaffee learned to ski at the age of three by her mother, who was herself a successful ski racer in the 1940s. At age 19 she won at the 1966 Alpine World Ski Championships in Portillo 4th in the downhill. The Alpine Ski World Cup 1967 she finished despite a heavy crash in Vail, after which they had to finish the season in 10th place of departure runners and 16th overall in the ladies. As captain of the U.S. women's team, although they disappointed with 28th place in the downhill at the 1968 Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble. However, she left at the end of their sporting career in her skin-tight silver racing suit a lasting impression. In 1968, she was inducted into the U.S. National Ski Hall of Fame. Later (1971-1973), she won the freestyle skiing three times a world champion title.

Chaffee comes from a very loving family sKIING: her brother Rick also occurred in alpine ski racing at the Olympic Winter Games 1968. My cousin Jonathan was biathlete and together with his sister Kim also skier for Harvard University.
