SV Norden-Nordwest

The SV north -northwest in 1898 is a German football club based in Berlin. Home of the 650 -member association is the NNW- place at the Behmstraße in the district of fresh spring, which can accommodate 3,000 spectators.

Club history

The SV north -northwest was founded in 1898 as Berliner FC of the north. 1906 merged the club with FC North - West Berlin to FC north -northwest of Berlin. Sporty acted Berlin in the championship of the Mark Brandenburg Football Association, in which the FC north -northwest import the championship in 1906. In the related participation in the German Cup 1905/ 06 the Berliner reached the quarter- finals, were subject to later champions VfB Leipzig but clearly with 1:9.

1907 merged the club with Teutonia 1903 Schönholz for Sporting connecting north -northwest of Berlin, in 1922 changed its name in SV north - northwest. 1908 could reach the final of the championship märkische north -northwest again. Against Viktoria 89 Berlin defeated with 3:4 NNW. Until 1933, the North - West played continuously in the Oberliga Berlin, in what was mostly played in the upper third of the table. Greatest success of SSE was winning the championship in Berlin in 1922. During the subsequent German Championship 1921/22, the Berliners moved to the semifinals a (0-1 defeat against 1 FC Nuremberg). 1924 and 1926 reached the north -northwest, respectively once the Berlin final, but was defeated Hertha BSC and Alemannia 90 Berlin. In the highly successful twenties NNW also won the Berlin Association Cup in 1922 and 1925. In the thirties the club could not build on the successes, and missed the qualification for Gauliga Berlin -Brandenburg. 1944 NW formed a syndicate with the BFC Meteor 06 and acted under the name KSG Meteor / NNW Berlin. The KSG had indeed managed sporty promotion to the Gauliga, but opted not to participate.

1945, the association was dissolved and re-established as SG healthy well. 1949, the sports community was divided on the SV north -northwest and Hertha BSC. The club played until 1961 in the Amateur League Berlin and disappeared into the connection from the higher-class football. Current division is the division of Berlin.
