It was disbanded after a few years, and in the aftermath it, the club has repeatedly refused to establish a new women's team. This was justified by lack of space at the site of the Pauline march. In autumn 2006 the Bremen Football Association asked the club to set up a women's division to stem the exodus of talented players in Lower Saxony surrounding areas.

In the 2007 /08 season, a women's and a B- juniors team have taken up the game mode. Both teams were formed in collaboration with the Bremen Football Federation of the most powerful players from Bremen. Is responsible for the women's football department Birte Brüggemann. In the first season the team was able to win all season games and had a goal difference of 162:0 on. In the promotion round to the Regionalliga Nord they met the Niendorf TSV (Hamburg ) ( 2:1) as well as the Ratzeburger SV (Schleswig- Holstein) ( 1:1) and qualified, favored by a victory of the Ratzeburger SV on the Niendorf TSV, for the higher league.

The following Regional 2008/09 season, the Werderelf delivered a thrilling head - to-head races with the BV Cloppenburg, which could decide by a single point for the Bremer. In the first round of the DFB Cup Bremer score to a surprising 2-1 win over second division side blue and white Hohen Neuendorf, but lost in the second round of the FCR 2001 Duisburg 1:10.
