SV YeÅŸilyurt

The SV Yeşilyurt Berlin was a football club based in the Berlin district of Moabit. It was founded in 1973 and played from 2003 until its dissolution in the NOFV- Oberliga Nord. Due to financial difficulties, the club was disbanded in November 2007 and the SK Yeşilyurt established 07 as the unofficial successor club.

History

Creation and rise of the SV Yeşilyurt

The club was founded in January 1973 by football enthusiasts Turkish immigrants from Berlin -Wedding. The name Yeşilyurt (pronounced Jeschiljurt ) was chosen because heimatlicher connectedness and means "The Green Home". It refers to the same neighborhoods in the Turkish cities of Istanbul ( in the district Bakırkoy ) and İzmir, from which the founding members of the Association mainly came from.

First Yesilyurt participated in organized recreational soccer. In 1982, logging in Berlin Football Association. After several years in the Berlin district, regional and provincial leagues succeeded with the family Ilkyaz at the head of the association of athletic advancement. Yeşilyurts rise continued at a fast pace. Back in 2003, they managed as Berlin Master promotion to the Oberliga Nordost. In the league, the team was able to establish in the following period. 2004 could again be reached the final in Berlin's Cup, but which they lost against the second team of Hertha BSC.

Resolution and relaunch as SK Yeşilyurt

In November 2007, it emerged that the club was heavily in debt (among the tax authorities and the insurance company ), after which the board members of the SV Yeşilyurt initially aspired to a merger with the district rivals BAK 07. However, this could not be realized because the BAK himself had financial problems. Thereupon, the Board could choose Yeşilyurt to the board of BAK and announced at the same time all the teams of the SV Yeşilyurt from playing from. The aim was to ensure that the teams of the former Association for BAK changed. Instead, however, founded the former members of the club a new club called SK Yeşilyurt 07 and went with this in the 2008 /2009 season in the lowest league Berlin - the circle League C - new to. This club merged in June 2010 with the club BSC Türk Gençlik 2001 SK Türkyurt 2001. SK Türkyurt started in the 2010/2011 season in the county league C.
