The Swanische (proper name: ლუშნუ ნინ lušnu nin, georgian სვანური ენა svanuri ena ) is spoken by at least 15 000, no more than 30 000 people mainly in the Svaneti region of Georgia. Speaker of the Svan also live in other parts of Georgia and abroad. The Swanische belongs to the South Caucasian languages. There is no written language.

In contrast to other South Caucasian languages ​​are characterized by a much larger vowel inventory.
