Sven Hoffmeister

Sven Hoffmeister ( born October 13, 1970 in Hannover) is after a career as a soccer goalkeeper since 2012 and a co- goalkeeper coach; He is also youth coach since 2013. In the 2013/14 season he is at KSV Hessen Kassel in the regional continue as a substitute under contract.

Career

Hoffmeister began his career at Olympia Kassel and then played for KSV Baunatal, SC Neukirchen and KSV Hessen Kassel before moving in 2000 from SV labor to Mainz 05 in the Second Division. Its first use in professional football came on November 11, 2000 in the match against Hannover 96; he was substituted after 71 minutes for striker Michael Thurk after goalkeeper Dimo Wache had seen the red card. In the following three games he replaced guard during the lock in the door of Mainz, but had to withdraw into second place after that. In the seasons 2003/ 04 and 2004/ 05 he came up with 34 appearances in the second Mainz team in the Regionalliga.

In summer 2005, he moved to Kickers Emden, where he made as a goalkeeper in two seasons, 71 more Regional games. For the season 2007/ 08 he went to Reutlingen, however, moved in spite of his two-year contract in January 2008 for the SV Sandhausen with which he qualified for the third professional league in 2008/ 09.

For the 2010/11 season Hoffmeister went back to KSV Hessen Kassel in the Regionalliga Süd, where he had already completed six games in the 1994/95 season. At the end of the 2011/12 season he joined as co- and goalkeeping coach in the coaching staff of the KSV. Since Summer 2013 Hoffmeister is also together with Marco Althans coach of the U21.
