Svendborg Municipality

Svendborg Kommune is a Danish municipality in the southeast of the island of Funen. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Svendborg municipality with the existing communities and Egebjerg Gudme.

Svendborg municipality has a total population of 58 296 inhabitants ( 1 January 2013) and an area of ​​415.40 km ². It is part of Syddanmark Region.
