Svenljunga

Svenljunga is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Västra Götaland County and the historic province of Västergötland. He is also chief town of the same name. Through the town flows the river Ätran.

For the first time occupied, the name alone Swinalyongha in 1427, when he is used as a name for the church village. Later, the resulting therefrom place took the name, and this in the prefix pig ( swedish svin ) includes and overgrown with the suffix on with heather ( swedish ljung ) terrain refers.
