Svenska Aero

The Svenska Aeroplan AB was a Swedish aircraft manufacturer based in Lidingö. The company was founded on 10 September 1921 by Carl Clemens Bücker with the purpose to build parts and aircraft of the Caspar -Werke and Heinkel under license. Reason was to circumvent the restrictions imposed by the Allies German aircraft ban after the defeat in the First World War. The company was founded in 1932 sold to the ASJA.

After intercession Bückers, who was a consultant and test pilot of the Swedish Navy at that time, negotiations on the possibility were conducted in April 1921, the Caspar- works to supply German aircraft to the Swedish Armed Forces. Ernst Heinkel, design engineer at Caspar, and some fitters went to Sweden there to supervise the manufacture. The components for the first ten floatplane Caspar SI ( HE 1 ) were smuggled out of them to Sweden and assembled there. After intervention Bückers was decided to test all other Caspar- Heinkel Models in Sweden, if possible, to build in license and sell it to the Swedish Air Force. From the mid- 1920s, they wanted to also own designs finished. Sven Blomberg was hired as head of construction. He was succeeded in 1930 Anders Johan Andersson. Svenska Aeroplan to have been registered on September 23, 1921 to the Swedish commercial register, but this was not the case. Bücker acted continue as a test pilot, but at the same time as Operations Director. In June 1926 ten SI were delivered secretly to the Seaplane Experimental Station GmbH, the code name for the German naval aviation, to Warnemünde. Until about 1928 military aircraft were of such compounds for the German Air Force built and tested, some even with Caspar in Warnemünde itself

Although six of their own aircraft designs were completed, this hardly satisfied. There was a financial crisis and as the ASJA could take over the operation in 1932.

Overall, only 58 aircraft were produced, some of which were exported to Latvia and Norway.
