Sverre Kolterud

Sverre Cristiansen Kolterud (born 15 March 1908 in Dokka, † November 7, 1996 in Oslo) was a Norwegian nordic combined.

Kolterud grew up as the son of a ski-loving family. In the Norwegian Junior Championships 1928, he won the bronze medal in ski jumping. Three years later he won the silver medal in singles, the combination behind Johan Grøttumsbråten at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1931 in Oberhof. At the 1932 Olympics in Lake Placid, he missed in the combination only just a medal and finished fourth. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1934 in Sollefteå he again won silver after 1931. For the Olympic Winter Games in 1936, he was nominated again, but could not participate due to his injury in mind.

After he had finished his active career, he made ​​several trips to England and the United States together with the figure skater Sonja Henie. In 1942 he was in the Norwegian film production Trysil - Knut active as a stuntman for the protagonist and took over all Skiszenen for this. Subsequently, he worked in a sports shop and later in a bank in Oslo.
