Svet kompjutera

Svet kompjutera (Cyrillic Свет компјутера; German for world of the computer ) is a monthly Serbian IT magazine.

It is published by the publishing house Politika ad, one of the largest publishing companies in Serbia, which also houses the oldest still published daily newspaper Politika, Serbia appears. Outside of Serbia, the magazine is distributed in all the successor states of Yugoslavia, but it can also be subscribed to worldwide.

The magazine consists of at least 128 pages, advertising accounts for 30 % to 35 % of the magazine.

The editorial board consists mostly of young authors middle-aged, 26 years old on average.

History

The first issue of the magazine came out in October 1984. Initially, the magazine for the then very popular home computers like Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum reported, inter alia, Contents of the booklet are messages and testing of hardware and software.

Some well-known people of Serbian (or Yugoslav then ) computer scene have worked as editors for the magazine.

During the year 1986, when the home computer business was booming, special editions of the booklet were published. Under the name Svet Igara (Eng. world of games ) games were tested. To date, published 14 editions. In the same year came out a Russian special edition. This was sold in the Soviet Union. In 1988, Svet Kompjutera organized a small computer fair in the center of Belgrade. It was known under the name of Computer '88.
