BC Neptunas Klaipėda

The Švyturio Arena is a sports center in the Lithuanian port city of Klaipeda. The sports arena is located in the street Dubysos g 10, Baltijos between Prospect and Dubysa Street. It may be the home of the basketball teams Neptunas Klaipėda (BBL, LKL ).

History

The construction of the arena is financed with 20 million litas from the state investment program, 40 million litas from the EU Structural Funds; the balance of the municipality of Klaipėda. The project authors are the joint stock company " Miestprojektas " (Kaunas) and UAB " Forma " (Vilnius ), the project manager is Saulius Mikštas ( UAB "Format "). The construction company is UAB " Vėtrūna " ( Telšiai ).

In 2011, the European Basketball Championship 2011 will take place here.
