Swan Islands, Honduras

The Islas del Cisne (also Santanillas, english Swan Islands, German "Swan islands" ) are a group of islands belonging to Honduras in the Caribbean. They are located 156 km north against Honduras and consist of three islands Cisne Grande ( Great Swan ), Cisne Pequeño ( Little Swan ) and El Cayo Pajaro Bobo ( Booby Cay ). The land area is about 8 km ². Cisne Grande extends over a length of three kilometers, Cisne Pequeño is about 2.4 kilometers long and 500 meters wide. El Cayo Pajaro Bobo is only 90 meters long.

The discovered by Christopher Columbus islands were annexed in the 19th century, citing the Guano Islands Act of the United States and returned to Honduras in 1971. The island be expected administratively to the department of Islas de la Bahía.
