Swan River ( English for " swan river " ) is a river in the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

It has its origin in the Porcupine Hills to the east of Saskatchewan. It flows first south, then makes a wide arc to the east, passing through the same small town and flows into the Swan Lake. Its length is about 180 km, its catchment area covers about 4230 km ². The average discharge is at level Minitonas 6.6 m³ / s

Its name derives from occurring in the region trumpeter swans.
