Swantibor V, Duke of Pomerania

Swantibor, also Swantibor V. (* 1454, † 1464 ) was a prince of Pomerania from the grasping house.

Swantibor was born as the eldest son of the Duke of Pomerania - Wolgast Wartislaw X. and his wife Elisabeth of Brandenburg 1454. In the summer semester 1462, with about eight years, he was enrolled at the University of Greifswald. Prior to a dispute between Duke Erich II, the brother Wartislaws X., and the town of Greifswald was settled. Swantibor was the first son of a prince, the. For the winter semester 1462/1463 Swantibor was elected rector of the university, thus honoring the grandson of its founder.

Swantibor died in 1464 of the plague, at the same time as his younger brother Ertmar. His parents thus lost their only common children. His mother, Elizabeth, had a son from her first marriage to Duke Joachim the Younger, namely Duke Otto III. of Pomerania -Stettin, but also died of the plague in 1464.
