Swazi Rail

Swaziland Railway (also known as Swazi Rail) is the national railway company of the Kingdom of Swaziland.

Description

The Swazi Rail operates a rail network of 301 kilometers in length, consisting of 1964 opened stretch of Matsapha Industrial Site near Manzini to Goba on the border with Mozambique and a track that from the direction of Durban and Richards Bay in South Africa in the south-north direction leads to Komatipoort, which is also in South Africa.

The routes of the Swaziland Railway have a track width of 1067 mm ( Cape gauge ). Swaziland Railway operates no passenger, but the South African railway company Transnet Freight Rail (formerly Spoornet ) uses part of the network for passing passenger trains.
