Swedish Army Museum

The Armémuseum is a museum in Stockholm to the military history of Sweden.

The museum was opened in 1967 and is located in the district of Östermalm in Stockholm. After lengthy renovations, the museum was reopened in 2002. It is dedicated to the military history of Sweden, the current military policy of neutrality, Sweden, and the Swedish army. The building in which the museum is located, was built in the 17th century as an arsenal for the production and storage of artillery weapons. In the museum, among other life-size replica of soldiers figures found in the uniforms of their respective centuries. Various battle scenes of past battles of the Swedish Armed Forces have been duplicated. The trophies and banners of defeated armies of the 17th and 18th centuries are exhibited in a special room. In the temporary exhibition on espionage an Enigma is shown.
