Swedish Publicists' Association

Publicistklubben ( " Publicist Club " ) is the common representation of the press, radio and television in Sweden in their ethical and cultural aspirations.

After inception in 1874, the club grew and today comprises over 2000 members throughout the country. The publicist club is based in Stockholm and is organized into six geographical units. The club is a forum for ongoing discussions between journalists, politicians, entrepreneurs, cultural workers and other groups of Swedish society. The club has successfully fought to improve the financial and other conditions of the journalists while they still did not have their own union. Publicist Club advocates the press and freedom of speech and for accessibility of public records. Not least, he has actively contributed to the self- reorganization of the Swedish press. Large donations allow the journalist club, annual scholarships ( last 95 000 SEK ) to distribute to members who want to broaden their horizons and deepen their knowledge.
