Swedish Senior Citizen Interest Party

Sveriges pensionärers intresseparti (Eng. translator's: interested party of the Swedish pensioners, swedish Abbr: spi ) is a political party in Sweden Klein.

In 1987, merged local pensioners parties and stood as a candidate in 1991 for the first time on imperial level. The party that got less than 1% of the vote in all elections with the exception of 1998, is represented in a county council and in more than 50 communities.

Originally a generation party that represented the interests of pensioners, the party tried in 2004 to expand their target audience through a new party program. The party platform calls for a tightening of immigration policy and is judged by some as xenophobic.
